Our Curriculum Overview
A Commitment to Excellence
Year 9 Digital Technologies introduces students to key digital skills through practical activities and projects.
Students learn the basics of Python programming, including variables, input, calculations, decisions and loops. They use spreadsheets to organise data, perform calculations and create charts.
Students also explore cybersecurity, learning about online safety, strong passwords, phishing, malware and protecting personal information.
Through robotics, students learn how programming can be used to control devices and solve simple problems.
The course encourages students to experiment, solve problems, think creatively and build confidence using digital technologies.
